“We don't inherit the Earth, we borrow it from our children.” Native American proverb

We can no longer deny that our Planet is crying for help. Being from French Guiana (in the Amazon) makes me very sensitive to current issues such as global warming and climate change. This is the reason Y for Yoga is doing its part to make a difference. Talking about it, sharing, encouraging green actions and also being transparent about sustainable business practices is vital for progress and change.

So far, Y for Yoga has:
- created a little community library (books & seeds) in South Croydon, for the local community.
- made a conscious effort to go paper-free and use a laptop/tablet when possible.
- committed to educate young children about global warming and climate change through storytelling.
- been encouraging schools/community to include global warming and climate change education in their daily curriculum, through discussions, debates and art.

In 2025, Y for Yoga would like to support community-level projects with a focus on sustainability for wellbeing and education fields. Our 'Outdoors Yoga' package aims to teach kids yoga/family yoga in green spaces and community gardens. Yoga in nature will help to combine the benefits of being in nature with those of practicing yoga.
