I used to work at a bilingual nursery in South-West London, with very young children. It was a beautiful and enriching experience in my journey. The children were finding it difficult to pronounce my first name properly "Pascale", thus one day, a very young student called me "Pasta" and that was it!

The whole classroom decided to adopt this as my official first name, and here I was, being "Miss Pasta". I actually liked that first name, because it was cute. After much thought, a teacher must have a good sense of humour and not always take themselves too seriously. In addition, they were only 3 years old.

I always think of inspiring and great teachers as people who can navigate between being strong and soft as well as being respectable and playful.

I love understanding things, so I researched about pasta.

What do pasta symbolize?

Pasta is more than just food, it is an element of union shared throughout Italy: it is an integral part of life, of popular culture (simple but traditional) of all Italians, not only of their cuisine, but of their very essence. Pasta also means tradition. Pasta is a very popular dish worldwide, and in case you didn't know, World Pasta Day is on 25th October.

Signed Miss Pasta
