Transformative Thursday - Owning your ideas and being authentic.

When I started kids yoga lessons in 2018, they were quite different from what I am doing now, in 2024. Things have changed, almost organically. I have been transformed by my experiences, both from a professional and personal perspectives; almost similar to snakes who shed their skin, because it doesn't fit anymore or because it's old or worn out.

My lessons are a constant reflection of my growth, and most importantly, my students have transformed me: with their personal stories, their strength and resilience.

I love external inspiration but for the most part, my work inspiration comes from within: my family and close friends, my travels, my interaction with others and mostly my deep love for nature. Owning your ideas and being authentic is the greatest way to succeed.

What do I mean by being authentic?

  • Doing things that you love and enjoy.

  • Becoming an expert in your field (all the while keeping the "student mindset", open to learn from books, events and other people).

  • Developing your personal aura and charisma.

  • Knowing yourself and knowing when you need time-out to re-energise, replenish and rest. I feel that we can't be authentic when we are constantly tired and depleted of physical/emotional energy.

  • Having boundaries.

Wishing you a beautiful day,

P
