Changes can be tricky, but equally very beneficial for us and for people around us. As we age and mature, we evolve and make different choices. Better choices for a better life.

In my 20s - I was going with the flow, and I wasn't very aware of all I truly wanted. I had a rough idea, but I was mostly surfing the waves of life: discovering a new country, studying hard/partying hard, working part-time as well as learning from the "University of Life"!

In my 30s - It became obvious that choices needed to be made, and lessons integrated so the boat could sail in the right direction. I made huge changes! I became more grounded and it was also the time that I became a single parent, looked after my son in a new environment and changed career (new home, new jobs and massive learning curve).

My 30s felt like my longest and hardest years, but also the most personally rewarding and the ones I am the most proud of. I was resilient, patient and adaptable.

As I approach my 40th birthday (next month - Hello Scorpios), I reflect upon: all I have accomplished so far, many of my walks in the "desert", my longing for the sunshine and the sunset and also the feeling of homesickness that runs deeper every year. If you live away from your Motherland, I know that you can understand me.

With love,

P
